Breakout Session Details: Titled “BUILD YOUR OWN GDB” These 3 hour sessions on Saturday and Sunday will teach 9 year old and up Earthlings how to program and build their own GDB. The GDB is a space tolerate open hardware & software prototyping board, allowing anyone to create real extreme environment hardware. The construction portions of this workshop will teach our Evo Kids how to create PCB’s using ExpressPCB, and how to use solder paste to solder surface mount IC’s http://ieee.ece.jhu.edu/tell
Once the GDB is built on Saturday, kids will be given one of the following tasks:
- Taking a core sample from ‘Asteroids’ created by our younger Evo Kids on Friday.
- Controlling a NASA Lunar Wormbot.
- Driving the Sol-X Escape Velocity robot around.
