Sol-X believes that a powerful & simple to use orbital mechanics software suite doesn't exist. This visualization tool will be the first tool mission planners turn to, and the code backbone for Sol-X's M.A.R.T.I.A.N project. The user will have the ability to change the level of accuracy, thus allowing 6th graders through PhD students to use this program, furthering STEM education in America. By being coded in JAVA the software will just plain work across multiple OS's (Mac, Linux, & Windows) and be easily re-programmable by astronauts in the field. Like Johannes Kepler always said, "The squares of the periodic times are to each other as the cubes of the mean distances". You will know what that means after using this software. Then you can show off your Orbital Mechanics knowledge to your favorite rocket science friend!
► JAVA library to be used in embedded devices for space & Earth robot navigation via:
♦ Parallax Javelin Stamp - University, high school, and small industry microprocessor.
♦ JOP (JAVA Optimized Processor) - A hardware implementation of the JVM with short and predictable
execution time of most bytecodes. System will be configured as a soft core in a self-reconfigurable FPGA.
► JAVA library and GUI for desktops.
♦ To allow complex calculations and visualization of orbital mechanic problems for deep space navigation,
along with star, Sun, and Phobos & Deimos orbit information, which can be used for navigation on Mars.
