Project Daedalus
Coming soon...
|
Project Overview:Sol-X wants to give you a chance to jump from 62 miles above the Earth. That's approximately 10 minutes of free fall! We are creating an "Ironman" suit for pitch, yaw, and roll control while falling through upper atmosphere. We are exchanging data with Olav Zipser, our first potential customer as we make this SciFi dream a reality.
Our space suit supplier is Final Frontier Design, who is enabling us to have a 40,000 foot test article quickly. Project Goals:We will spur the development of:
► A form fitting spacesuit for Space Skydiving, suborbital tourists, and exploring Mars. ► A carbon dioxide burning, totally reusable ballistic launch vehicle for global exploration of Mars & this project. Why carbon dioxide? ► So that rocket has a zero carbon footprint. Sol-X will actually be storing away/sequestering large amounts of carbon dioxide. It's good to be green. ► Mars has a lot of it! This rocket will have one huge global gas tank to use. See Pioneer Astronautics's Gashopper |
